February's Post--A Multimedia Extravaganza

 Megan

Megan who got hold of her mother's swim goggles...She put them on by herself, too.

Megan opening her gifts with help on her third birthday.

Emily stealing Mom's camera again and taking a picture of the giant...

Meg talking on the phone to Gramma Barb on Meg's birthday. She's getting so big...

Annika and Lauren at the playground as we celebrated my, Em and Meg's birthdays.

Cousin Ethan playing at the indoor park, too.
It's a medical clinic theme...he's at the bottom of the giant bandaid slide.

Even my Uncle Lou from near St. Louis, Mo. made it to my party! Thanks, Uncle Lou!

My brother John and his wife Cassie at the party

Becky and new baby Lucas

Me trying to see what bubbles do in below freezing temps. Basically, they don't pop.
They kind of slowly deflate.

Emily opening her gifts on her birthday. We had some extra friends staying the night as they moved from North Park Seminary to the West Coast so it was a BIG party!

The friends...

And more of The Friends...

Annika and I got to see two meets of the Martin County area Magic--the women's gymnastics team. So fun! Here Annika is pictured with a lot of them. The team took the conference!

Here is my team for the 2011 Cystic Fibrosis Climb-a-thon.
This is where insane people climb 1,280 stairs voluntarily as a fundraiser to help educate and research a cure for CF. I hadn't done this since I was a teenager. I worked out for about a month to complete this. I did it, though! Took me about 45 minutes. As I made it to the first rest stop on floor 8, there was a guy laying on the floor with a trainer or paramedic helping him. Not a good sign! However, he had been on his eleventh trip up the stairs. Explains a lot, doesn't it?

The big news for this month, however, is probably the fact that Emily got her hair cut. Seriously. Note the pony tails? She had 10 inches cut and I'll be mailing the hair to Locks of Love. They make wigs for kids who have lost their hair.
So, before...

After.
It takes some getting used to. It's a cute cut, but short!

Dan was at a conference for the Covenant church earlier this month. I took this video to send to him, but never quite got to it. Emily singing a repertoire...
