Weird and Wacky St. Patty's Day

Today was an all-around strange day.

First, it's St. Patty's Day and we had Swedish pancakes with lingonberries for breakfast.

Second, Minnesota was in the 80s today. I had to dig out my capris. This of course meant out kids were bike riding so...

Third, Lauren got this oh-so-bad idea to put pins into Annika's bike tires so that Annika would go slower when they raced. She got Emily to help her. Annika's two tires are now very flat. The irony? Lauren didn't know that she is inheriting Annika's bike in a week when I bring Annika's new one home from the Twin Cities. Needless to say, the bike tires will not be getting fixed anytime soon. I'm kind of disappointed/depressed that my kids can be so deceptive.

On the lighter side, after Megan's shower this morning, she asked if I could put her hair up like an ice cream (in the towel). She also talks about going to sparkle school (which might be preschool. I couldn't quite understand her explanation although sparkle school got torn down and now she goes to spider school).

Another child also asked, "What is vibrance?" I was thinking "vibrants" and said I didn't there was any such thing. She said, "Dad just said he's shaving his vibrance." Ah--I had heard the conversation so I knew what he had actually said. Sideburns.
